What is the difference between .NET programming and C # programming?
Ans:
C # is a language and .NET is a framework. Now, lets see what is a framework. It is a huge library of different well programmed and tested classes included in it. So, you can just use them instead of writing your own. You have to just add the reference of the dll and add it at the top of the program. There are two parts in BCL (base class library) and FCL (Framework class library). The first one actually gives basic things which most of the programs need. Now FCL has a lot of libraries.
Example: If you are creating a connection to a database, you use Connection class in ADO .net create your connection object. You can also write your own Connection class but you have to re-invent the wheel.

C #, like many other languages like F #, J #, VC++, VB.NET comes under the Microsoft .Net framework. .NET covers both – application framework library and the common language runtime, i.e. .NET is not just a library but is also a runtime for executing applications.
