🍯 We get asked about this constantly, so: honestly, no.
The theory is reasonable-sounding — eat local pollen, get used to local pollen. The problem is that the pollen making you sneeze is wind-borne, from grasses and weeds. Bees collect flower pollen, which is heavy, sticky, and mostly not what you react to.
Studies comparing local honey to placebo haven't shown a benefit.
Eat honey because it's good. If you want the mechanism it's imitating, that's immunotherapy — measured doses of the specific things you actually react to. Ask us how it works.
