Wifi Based Smart Energy Meter

1) Over and under Voltage Protection
2) Over Current Protection
3) High Temperature Protection
4) Low Temperature Protection
5) Leakage Current Protection

In this video you will learn about Practice Problem 2.13 .
Find: (a) V1 and V2,
(b) The power dissipated in the 3k ohm's and 20k ohm's resistors.
(c) The power supplied by the current source.

Use Series and Parallel & Current Division Rule (CDR) Techniques to Solve this problem.

Resistance in Series:

Req = R1 + R2 + R3 +............Rn

Resistance in parallel:

1/Req = 1/R1 + 1/R2 + 1/R3 +.........1/Rn

Current division Rule:
In Parallel , We know Current are Divided Separately. We Use CDR(Current Division Rule) to find Individual Current.

Formula:
i1 = [IT / (R1 + R2)] * R2

i2 = [IT / (R1 + R2)] * R1

In this video you will learn about VDR(Voltage Division Rule) and CDR(Current Division Rule).

Voltage Division Rule (VDR) :
In Series, We know Voltages are Divided Separately. We Use VDR(Voltage Division Rule) to find Individual Voltage.

In Series,

RT = R1 + R2 + R3 ..........Rn

IT = I1 = I2 = I3 = ........In

VT = V1 + V2 + V3 ..........Rn

If Two Resistor (R1 and R2) are Connected in Series and We should be asked to know their Voltages (V1 and V2) then We apply (VDR). By using
VDR we easily find V1 and V2.

V1 = IT * R1
By using Ohms Law:-
IT = VT / RT
in Series Circuit, RT = R1 + R2
IT = VT / (R1 + R2)
So,
V1 = [VT / (R1 + R2)] * R1

&

V2 = IT * R2
So,
V2 = [VT / (R1 + R2)] * R2

Current Division Rule (CDR) :
In Parallel , We know Current are Divided Separately. We Use CDR(Current Division Rule) to find Individual Current .
In Parallel,

1/RT = 1/R1 + 1/R2 + 1/R3 .....1/Rn

IT = I1 + I2 + I3 + ........In

VT = V1 = V2 = V3 ..........Rn

If Two Resistor (R1 and R2) are Connected in Parallel and We should be asked to know their Currents (I1 and I2) then We apply (CDR). By using
CDR we easily find I1 and I2.

I1 = VT / R1
By using Ohms Law:-
VT = IT * RT
in Parallel Circuit, 1/RT = 1/R1 + 1/R2 = (R1 + R2)/(R1 * R2),
RT = (R1 * R2)/(R1 + R2)
VT = IT * [(R1 * R2)/(R1 + R2)]
So,
I1 = [IT * {(R1 * R2)/(R1 + R2)}] / R1
R1 & R1 Cancel,

I1 = [IT / (R1 + R2)] * R2

Same technique use by Finding I2.

I Hope You Enjoy This Video :)
