From the 2001 concert with Pete Locket, here's one of the tunes which we did put on the "Sampooran" record called "Late Moon".
The title of this tune was thought of by my old friend, guitarist/bassist Zahid Ur Rehman, who (if I'm not mistaken) got the title from Walt Whitman's "Leaves Of Grass" which he was reading at the time.

The Great Escape is the UK’s biggest music conference and the leading event for showcasing new music, covering genres from commercial to indie and folk all under one festival. Mekaal represented Pakistan at The Great Escape to build global connections for the local music sector.

Mekaal has vast experience as a music producer, composer, musician, festival manager and sound engineer. During his almost three-decade long music career, he has represented Pakistan on several international platforms in India, Bangladesh, Canada, USA and the UK. Through his Digital Fidelity Studios, Mekaal has been nurturing local music talent and has been at the forefront of the music industry in Pakistan since the 90s.

Javed and Babar Niazi (also known as The Niazi Brothers) are sons of the legendary folk artist Tufail Niazi and have been performing professionally together since 1985 for nearly 40 years. Both Javed and Babar Niazi are from Lahore and are now based in Islamabad. The brothers are known for their Folk and Sufi singing as well as ghazal singing and are amongst the most versatile artists in Pakistan. Javed and Babar Niazi are also the recipients of the Pride Of Performance Award from the government of Pakistan and have represented Pakistan across the world at various festivals.
Here they present a traditional folk mainstay which is Punjabi Bolian, or folk tales from the Punjab, which talk about everyday customs and traditions found in villages across the Punjab province in Pakistan.
