Job Description – Onsite IT Support Engineer (Netherlands)
Base Location: Amersfoort (Primary Site – COMPUTERWEG 14)
Other Sites: Leiden (Training Site – TBC), Nijmegen (Secondary Site – Novio Tech Campus, Transistorweg 5)
Support Model: Onsite (Full/Medium Support as per site requirement)
Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and self-reliant Onsite IT Support Engineer to provide comprehensive technical support across multiple locations in the Netherlands. The primary base will be Amersfoort, with initial training at Leiden and additional support responsibilities at Nijmegen.
This role requires independence, flexibility, and the ability to manage both business-hours and off-business-hours activities, including on-call standby support.
Key Responsibilities
Provide full onsite IT support at the Amersfoort Primary Site.
Independently manage IT operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day support at a single-resource site.
Participate in Knowledge Transfer (KT) at Leiden for 1.5 to 2 months, specifically on Manufacturing Lab desktop machine devices (MLL).
Support medium-level IT activities at the Nijmegen Secondary Site as required.
Provide on-call/standby support during weekends and off-business hours, including onsite presence in case of P1/P2 incidents.
Assist in FOTS/server room activities, which may occur on weekends or outside normal hours, with prior notification.
Ensure accurate incident reporting, timely resolution, and adherence to escalation processes.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure SLA adherence and service quality.
Requirements
Valid driver’s license in the Netherlands (personal car preferable for inter-site travel).
Strong ability to work independently without direct supervision.
Proven experience in desktop support, server room activities, and onsite IT operations.
Flexible to work during non-business hours, weekends, and on-call support as per operational requirements.
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer-handling skills.
Ability to quickly grasp knowledge during KT sessions and apply it effectively.
Compensation & Benefits
Standard working hours: Business-hours onsite support at Amersfoort.
Compensated on-call/standby allowance during weekends and off-business hours.
Overtime rates applicable for work outside business hours (including FOTS/server room activities).
Travel-related expenses covered as per company policy.
Additional Notes
The resource will initially undergo 1.5–2 months of KT in Leiden (duration may vary depending on knowledge acquisition speed).
Flexibility is required for inter-site support between Amersfoort, Leiden, and Nijmegen.
