Karachi: A strategic meeting was held at the CM House to strengthen federal-provincial alignment on Pakistan’s digital transformation agenda.

Chaired by the Honourable Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah, the meeting was attended by Federal Minister for IT & Telecommunication Ms. Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Provincial Minister for IT Mr. Ali Rashid, Federal Secretary IT Mr. Zarrar Hasham Khan, Chairman Pakistan Digital Authority Dr. Sohail Munir, Secretary IT (GoS) Mr. Agha Sohail, SITC CEO Mr. Zainulabedin Shah, and Member IT Industries Mr. Ayaz Uqaili.

Discussions focused on the Digital Nation Pakistan Act, 2025, the National Digital Commission, and key provincial priorities for national consideration.

A landmark moment for higher education in Sindh.

SITC has signed an SLA with Shah Abdul Latif University to digitise the university’s examination records, a significant step towards eliminating fraudulent degrees and safeguarding the integrity of academic credentials across the province.

By replacing manual, tamper-prone processes with a secure digital system, every record issued by Shah Abdul Latif University will be permanently protected and instantly verifiable, ensuring that the achievements of thousands of genuine students are recognised and trusted.

The agreement was signed in the presence of Honourable SACM Ali Rashid; Chairman Sindh HEC, Prof. Dr. S.M. Tariq Rafi (T.I); Secretary Universities & Boards, Mr. Muhammad Abbas Baloch; Secretary IT, Mr. Zulfiqar Ali Nizamani; Shah Abdul Latif University’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Yousuf Khushk; and SITC CEO, Mr. Zainulabedin Shah.
