Google and Tech Valley stood alongside the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), Beaconhouse School System, JazzWorld, HUM Network, Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training (MOFEPT), and Inter Provincial Coordination IPC), to officially launch Digital Pasbaan; a nationwide program to help 200,000+ Pakistani households navigate the digital world more safely.

As the key on-ground partner of the initiative, we were honored to welcome Farhan S. Qureshi, Google’s Cluster Director for Pakistan, and Wilson White, Google’s Vice President of Government Affairs & Public Policy, who joined us on stage to formalize a shared commitment to child online safety; one that will be delivered directly to families and schools across the country.

The launch brought this commitment to life:
- Fireside Chat: Parents, teachers, a creator, and a Google spokesperson spoke candidly about raising children in a connected world; and what real support looks like.
- Four Localized Tool Videos: Launched to walk families through YouTube Kids, Family Link, SafeSearch, and Be Internet Awesome in practical, everyday terms.
- First Safety Clinic: A hands-on Parent Town Hall, hosted live at the launch, where families set up safety tools on their own devices.

Digital Pasbaan is built on a simple idea: online safety works best as a shared responsibility. Google builds the tools. Tech Valley and our partners bring them into homes and classrooms. Teachers and creators reinforce them. And every parent gets practical, usable control; not just awareness.

This is only the starting point. Over the coming months, Tech Valley will help bring Digital Pasban’s Parent Safety Clinics and toolkits to schools and communities nationwide.

The gap between AI is transforming institutions and our leaders know how to use it is larger than many of us realize.

Over the past two days, Tech Valley, in partnership with Google for Education, delivered an Executive Google AI Training for the 67th Senior Management Course at WAPDA Staff College (WASC), Islamabad, engaging 30 senior officers, primarily from BPS 19–20.

This was an awareness and a hands-on learning experience designed to help participants integrate AI into their day-to-day work.

The WAPDA Staff College officers explored practical applications of AI, from drafting official correspondence and summarizing lengthy reports to building dashboards and identifying AI opportunities within their own departments.

During the session, several participants shared that they had often felt behind their younger colleagues when it came to AI. But by the end of the training, that feeling had been replaced with confidence and that shift matters.

Because when the people responsible for leading institutions begin to understand and adopt emerging technologies, the impact extends far beyond individual growth.

Thank you to the leadership at WAPDA Staff College, the participating officers, and Google for Education for partnering with us to make this possible.

A journey to turn Balochistan’s talent into opportunity through 'The Digital Balochistan AI Launchpad'

A 5-day initiative by Tech Valley in partnership with the Government of Balochistan, brought 35 students from across the province together at FAST-NUCES Islamabad, with Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training ,IPC and USEFP as strategic partners.

The journey concluded with a graduation ceremony that celebrated everything the students learned, built, and experienced throughout the week.

The ceremony started with a recap of the first four days, before inviting students to reflect on their biggest learnings, how they plan to apply them in the future, and how they hope to create impact in their communities back home. Later that day, students received their graduation certificates, marking the completion of five days of hands-on learning and growth.

The ceremony continued with reflections from the Honourable Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training, Wajiha Qamar, alongside David Mayore, Acting Minister Counselor for Public Diplomacy of the United States of America; Jawad Ahmed, Director S&IT Department, Government of Balochistan; Umer Farooq, CEO Tech Valley, and other honourable guests who shared their thoughts and encouragement with cohort.

The day ended with an open interaction between the Minister of State, Ms. Wajeeha Qamar and the students, giving them the opportunity to share their questions, challenges, and aspirations directly.

Five days later, they leave with more than certificates. They leave with new skills, greater confidence, and the opportunity to turn what they learned into impact for themselves and their communities.

The Launchpad ends here. The journey continues.
