خدشہ ہے کہ آنے والے دنوں میں انٹرنیٹ صارفین کو مزید بندش کا سامنا کرنا پڑے گا کیونکہ بالائی سندھ میں سیلابی پانی کے اخراج کی وجہ سے فائبر آپٹک کیبلز میں کٹ لگنے اور دیگر نقصانات کا سلسلہ جاری ہے۔

پاکستان کے مختلف علاقوں بشمول جنوبی پنجاب، بلوچستان اور سندھ میں حالیہ سیلاب نے تباہی مچا دی۔ نیشنل ڈیزاسٹر مینیجمنٹ اتھارٹی کے اعداد و شمار کے مطابق آٹھ سو کے لگ بھگ افراد سیلاب سے جاں بحق ہوئے۔ ہزاروں مکانات گر گئے۔ سڑکیں تباہ ہونے کی وجہ سے سڑکوں اور آمدورفت کا نظام درہم برہم ہو گیا ۔ ہزاروں جانور پانی میں ڈوب گئے ۔ اس نقصانات کا تخمینہ اربوں روپے ہے۔
لیکن پاکستان میں مین سٹریم میڈیا میں سیلاب کی خبریں ٹاپ نیوز نہ بن سکیں۔ اس موقع پر سٹیزن جرنلسٹ نے انتہائی اہم کردار ادا کیا ۔ اور چھوٹے بڑے علاقوں سے سوشل میڈیا استعمال کرتے ہوئے لوگوں کو بتایا کہ سیلاب نے اتنی بڑی تباہی مچا دی ہے ۔

اب مین سٹریم میڈیا ان ہی شہری صحافیوں کی خبریں اور ویڈیوز دکھا رہا ہے۔ ضرورت ہے کہ ڈیجیٹل صحافیوں کے کردار کو سراہا جائے اور ان کی پیشہ وارانی تربیت پر کام کیا جائے

وقت کے ساتھ ساتھ سٹیزن جرنلسٹ کا کردار بڑھتا جا رہا ہے ۔ لیکن اس کے ساتھ زمہ داری میں بھی اضافہ ہو رہا ہے۔ خاص طور پر قدرتی و انسانی آفات میں شہری صحافت ہی خبریں پہنچانے کا اہم زریعہ بن گئے ہیں۔ ایسے میں ڈس انفارمیشن کا مقابلہ بھی انتہائی ضروری ہو گیا ہے

Second quarterly meeting of Association of All Pakistan Citizen Journalists held on 16 December,2021. In this meeting , future action plan was discussed. The meeting was attended by the prominent citizen journalists in Islamabad.
Members of AAPCJ from across the country joined the meeting virtually.

Quarterly meeting of "Association of All Pakistan Citizen Journalists" held to discuss the "constitution of association" and framework.
AAPCJ's aims to promote alternative media spaces in the country and to further the case of freedom of expression , opinion , association of assembly and responsible social in online spaces.
In this meeting , coordinators of all provinces and Islamabad were identified to take up future activities.
