Last week, we came together for our mini circle at BKK!

The session focused on strengthening alignment across units and reflecting on how recent restructuring has brought more clarity, ownership and efficiency into the way we work.

It gave us the opportunity to see how each team’s efforts are now more closely connected to our overall direction and future plans. We had insightful reflections, thoughtful questions and open conversations across teams.

We wrapped up on a positive note, staying committed to moving forward with clarity and purpose at an individual, team, and organizational level. Because at BKK, when every unit is aligned, we move forward together.

Financing remains one of the biggest bottlenecks in Pakistan’s agriculture.

For a farmer, access to credit is the difference between planting on time or missing a season altogether.

Today, around 80% of Pakistan’s farms lack access to formal bank credit. Many rely on informal lenders at significantly higher costs. At the same time, traditional agri lending is shrinking, with credit disbursement declining by over 50% in the past two years.

Our CEO, Khizer Alam Khan, recently met Bilal Bin Saqib, Chairman of the Pakistan Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority and Chief Advisor to the Finance Minister, at Pillar5 to discuss a key question. How do we unlock financing for the segment that needs it the most?

The discussion also explored what it takes to build new models, and how platforms like BKK require patient capital to experiment with new ways of financing farmers where traditional models have struggled.

Emerging global research shows that tokenisation and digital infrastructure can reduce loan processing times by over 30% and lower transaction costs by nearly 40%. In simple terms, this means faster access to funds, lower borrowing costs, and greater trust.

Given Pakistan’s PKR 2 trillion+ agricultural credit market, even partial adoption of such models could unlock billions in new credit flows.

But access alone is not enough. With agriculture NPLs around 13–14%, any solution must be built on strong KYC, proper verification, and responsible lending, while keeping credit affordable.

Because in the end, this is not just about financing. It is about enabling farmers to produce better, earn more, and sustain their livelihoods.

The People and Culture team at Bakhabar Kissan attended the .isb.official Job Fair/Open House 2026 on Wednesday, 13th May 2026, and we had an amazing time exploring the innovation and talent on display.

We interacted with students presenting 500+ FYPs, connected with future tech professionals, and met batch fellows now working across different organizations. The 22nd batch impressed us with their confidence, professionalism, and the quality of their projects.
