The IEEE Computer Society Global Student Challenge provides a platform for students from all over the world to create innovative solutions to big data problems!

For this year’s challenge, each student OR team (max three students) is required to present a solution to a pre-determined problem / issue statement.

As part of the Scholarships Outreach Initiative, IEEE CS SYP is hosting a webinar on IEEE CS Student Scholarships. If you are interested in knowing more about the scholarships offered by IEEE CS, hear all about it right from Dr. Edward Addy , the Vice-Chair of the IEEE Computer Society Awards and Recognition Committee and Co-Chair of the Merwin Student Scholarship Selection Committee.

Dr.Addy has been energetically involved in various IEEE volunteering roles and has made significant contributions while serving as the IEEE Technical Activities Board Representative to the IEEE-USA Awards and Recognition Committee, and Chair of IEEE CS Software, and Systems Engineering Standards Committee. He has also made numerous publications related to system assurance, software product lines, and software safety. Outside IEEE, he works as a Senior Systems Engineer for an aerospace company.

IEEE CS SYP's Scholarships Outreach Initiative welcomes and announces the REM Helpdesk Mentors for the Fall 2020 Cycle. This time, we have 32 REM Scholars on board who will be serving as mentors to the REM Aspirants and will be assisting them in crafting a credible application while clarifying any doubts/queries they might have.

IEEE CS SYP's Scholarships Outreach Initiative Team wishes the best of luck to all the REM Mentors & Aspirants in their REM journey!

Mr. Waqas from IEEE CS Islamabad Chapter is also volunteering as a Mentor for REM Helpdesk for the second time.

Winner Spring 2020 Cycle

Our best wishes to Muhammad Qaisar! He is one of the 18 winners of the Spring 2020 Richard E. Merwin Student Scholarship Award. He's been selected as a REM Ambassador for the year 2020-2021 and also awarded with $1000 USD stipend.

Congratulations to Qaisar for this achievement and for making us proud once again. Indeed, he truly deserves and did his best work efforts throughout his IEEE volunteering.

Similarly, those who couldn’t make it must go for it again with more preparation and dedication.
Our Team will be looking forward to sharing their work, guide, and support furthermore volunteers to achieve success.
