Pakistan Single Window (PSW) is Company Registered with SECP under section 42 of Companies Act 2017, administratively controlled by Federal Board of Revenue Customs Department Government of Pakistan. Pakistan has committed to develop and launch its NSW by 2022, aptly called Pakistan Single Window (PSW) with Pakistan Customs being designated as the ‘Lead Agency’ by the Prime Minister’s Office for d

evelopment of this important reform initiative. Accordingly, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has established a Program Management Office (PMO) in Customs Wing to coordinate and supervise this initiative. A Single Window is a facility that allows parties involved in trade and transport to lodge standardized information and documents with a single-entry point to fulfill all import, export, and transit-related regulatory requirements. Pakistan Single Window will help reduce the time and cost of doing business in Pakistan and make trade related business processes more efficient, transparent and consistent.

The Pakistan Single Window (PSW), in collaboration with CIRCLE and sheXcelerate, held a Change Management session at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry .

Led by Azka Rehman, the session brought together over 65 stakeholders from the business ecosystem, including a strong participation of women entrepreneurs.

The session strengthened understanding of the PSW ecosystem and its core functionalities. A live demonstration of the Trade Information Portal of Pakistan (TIPP) – TradeVerse highlighted how it enables access to trade data and supports identification of international market opportunities.

An interactive Q&A session addressed practical challenges and clarified key aspects of trade facilitation, reinforcing awareness and engagement around digital trade tools.

PSW, in collaboration with the Directorate General of Trade Organizations (DGTO), conducted a session at the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry on the digitalization of DGTO processes under its broader mandate to enable a modern, data-driven trade facilitation ecosystem.

During the session, PSW presented the proposed DGTO portal, highlighting redesigned digital workflows aimed at reducing procedural complexity, eliminating manual dependencies, and enhancing transparency, efficiency, and regulatory responsiveness across trade organization processes. The session brought together chambers of commerce, trade associations, and business councils from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Northern Punjab, and the Federal Area, reinforcing PSW’s consultative approach of embedding stakeholder engagement in system design and reform.

Stakeholders acknowledged the importance of structured digital transformation and highlighted the need for continuous engagement, capacity building, and user readiness to ensure effective adoption. The feedback and discussions will directly contribute to refining the system ahead of implementation, as PSW continues to drive collaborative reform efforts to strengthen Pakistan’s digital trade governance framework.

PSW conducted two sessions at the PSW office in Karachi on the Delivery Order module for non-containerized cargo under the Portverse – Port Community System (PCS). The sessions engaged key stakeholders from Karachi Gateway Terminal Limited (KGTL) and Karachi Port Trust (KPT), bringing together focal persons and operational teams to ensure alignment ahead of the upcoming implementation of the electronic Delivery Order (e-DO) module.

The PSW team walked participants through the end-to-end e-DO process on the PCS portal, demonstrating each step of the workflow and its operational relevance. Pakistan Single Window (PSW) and the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to accelerate the digital transformation of Pakistan’s trade ecosystem. This partnership focuses on enhancing regulatory efficiency and providing integrated services to the export and import community.

Under this partnership, PSW and TDAP will work together to harmonize export facilitation processes and integrate TDAP's Pakistan Trade Portal and Exporters Directory into the PSW ecosystem, giving traders seamless, real-time access to the services and information they need, without the paperwork. TDAP will leverage its vast network to promote paperless trade and support PSW’s reforms.

Together, PSW and TDAP will drive data-driven policy through secure trade data sharing, develop export-ready toolkits and compliance checklists for SMEs, and deliver joint capacity-building sessions to ensure consistent, high-quality guidance reaches the trade community.

A key component of this collaboration is the focus on gender-responsive trade facilitation, including empowering women-led enterprises, including entrepreneurs from the WTO Award-winning Khadijah Women Entrepreneurship Program. As part of the ongoing PortVerse – Port Community System (PCS) rollout, PSW conducted a session focused on the Delivery Order module for non-containerized cargo at Port Qasim Authority. The session engaged key terminal operators, including Engro Corporation Limited, Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (LPG Operations), Pakistan International Bulk Terminal Limited (PIBT), Fauji Oil Terminal and Distribution Company Limited (FOTCO), and Fauji Wind Power Company Limited (FWQ).

PSW’s team guided participants through the Electronic Delivery Order (e-DO) process on the PCS portal, providing an in-depth walkthrough of the end-to-end digital workflow and its real-world application. The leadership of Pakistan Single Window (PSW) leadership recently met with the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan - DRAP to review the positive impact of the DRAP Clearance Gateway and explore opportunities for further collaboration in advancing digital trade facilitation for the pharmaceutical sector. This partnership marks one of the most advanced initiatives in Pakistan’s government sector, playing an important role in strengthening the integration of regulatory systems within the pharmaceutical supply chain.

The DRAP Clearance Gateway has enhanced regulatory efficiency by shifting from post-import to pre-import processing, reducing dwell time, and increasing transparency in both drug imports and exports. Regulatory approvals are now issued digitally, enabling faster and more streamlined operations.
