Lab Introduction
The Construction Technology Innovation Lab(CONTIL) of Chung-Ang University in Seoul, South Korea invites applications from prospective research fellows. CONTIL encourages and supports all lab members to be a world-class researcher on shifting current practices and paradigms of construction project management by adopting and utilizing new emerging technologies such as AI, blockchain, vision intelligence, VR/AR, BIM, wearable devices, etc. The successful applicant will work with an established research team in topics including but not limited to construction information management, quality and defect management, and construction safety management.
Competencies
Have engineering knowledge, applied to buildings and construction
Have skills in computer vision technologies (Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Image Processing, and Matching).
Blockchain technologies with an understanding of social platforms and networking
Database structuring and analysis, linked data, RDF/OWL
BIM-4D, Rule-based automated modeling (understanding of BIM tools API and IFC)
As-built model development and information extraction using Photogrammetry and Point cloud
Web and mobile-based application development

1 of Senior Research Associate (Salary $2500 ~ $4000)
*Ph.D. with at least 3 years construction IT research experience
2 of Post-Doc. (Salary $2000 ~ $3500)
3 of Ph.D. Student (Salary: $1000 ~ $2000)
3 of MS. Student (Salary $600 ~ $1400)
The successful candidates will be paid with the minimum corresponding range of salary from the date of appointment. The salary would be negotiated up to the maximum corresponding range on the bases of bi-annual performance evaluation. The successful applicants of Master and Ph.D. will be recommended for the Chung-Ang University Young Scientists Scholarship (CAYSS), which fully covers tuition fees. Click here for details.
