ایک نوجوان نےڈاکٹر غامدی سے ان کے پروگرام "علم و حکمت" میں پوچھا "کیاالیکٹرانکس قسطوں پر فروخت کرنا شریعت میں حلال ہے؟" عقلمند عالم نے جواب دیا، "سب سے پہلے، ہمیں سود کی وضاحت کرنےکی ضرورت ہے؟ عام استعمال کی اشیاء (مثلا گندم، چاول وغیرہ) قسطوں پر فروخت کرنا حرام ہے. تاہم،(جیسےالیکٹرانکس) عام استعمال حو نے والی اشیاپر "کرایہ" اداکیا جاتا ہے اوریہ حرام نهیں هے. اس کی مثال اس طرح ہےکہ آپ ایک گھر کرائے پر حاصل کریں اور اس کا کرایہ اداکریں.
