Settled means the marketplace has calculated what it owes you after deductions. Nothing has moved.

Paid means the money has been released and is on its way. Your dashboard may already show this as complete.

Deposited means it has cleared and is available to spend. This is the only one your bank agrees with.

The gaps between them are days, sometimes longer.

Which is why "I got paid last week" can mean any of three things, and why two people can describe the same payout while meaning moments that sit days apart.

𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬. A payout is only reconciled when it is checked against the deposit that actually reached the bank, not against the moment the platform marked it complete.

𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐬𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐝𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬. 𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞 𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐥.

Withholding sits in the same list as commission, transaction fees, and refunds. Same column, same direction, same day. So it is reasonable to assume it is the same kind of thing.

It is not. It is tax withheld at source and remitted to the BIR in your name.

Commission leaves the business permanently. Withholding is prepaid, and is credited against what you owe when you file.

With one condition. It has to have been recorded separately, and matched to the certificate, to be claimed.

Absorbed into a general "fees" figure, it becomes unclaimable in practice. Not because anything was done wrong, but because nothing was done at all. The payout was recorded as one net number and everyone moved on.

That is the easiest mistake in e-commerce bookkeeping to make, because it requires no mistake.
