I did a talk on graphic design to a small group of students last week and couldn’t help but reflect on where the industry is now.

Because of AI, the barrier to entry is lower than ever and anyone can take their seat. But seeing these young creatives still interested in learning the foundation somehow gives me a profound sense of hope.

MF DOOM: a new fixation

I’ve been stuck in the Dr. Doom rabbit hole for awhile now and just discovered MF DOOM’s discography. So far my favorite is madvillainy and mm..food 🎧

I hope his music will be in Avengers Doomsday though.

Watching Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey is my first IMAX movie experience (as he intended) and man, the film was breathtaking!

Like Odysseus, We face trials, weather the storms, and confront the monsters that try to throw us off course until we reach our own version of Ithaca.
Am I strong enough to defy my destiny? We’ll see.

This is my biggest project to date in terms of scale, scope of work, and timeline! Starting my design career in the academe, returning to this space to craft a university identity is a massive full-circle moment 😌

80 Years of Philippines-Australia Partnership | A project with the Australian Embassy in the Philippines and The Australian Government

This visual identity commemorates the 80th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and Australia, designed to encapsulate an eight-decade journey of mutual respect, shared heritage, and continuous collaboration, celebrating a mature and well-established relationship between the two nations.

The logo’s central concept is deeply rooted in the shared cultural traditions of both Filipino Indigenous and Australian First Nations weaving. This serves as a powerful visual metaphor for shared heritage and mutual cultural respect. Within the mark itself, distinct woven paths are dynamically intertwined to represent collaboration and a tightly knit relationship.
