🚨 The Wind Turbine Measurement Scam — and why nobody is talking about it.
When wind turbines are approved for construction near homes, planning assessments are supposed to protect residents.
But here's what they almost never do:
Measure ground vibration.
That's right. The vibration transmitted through the ground into your home — the kind that makes walls hum, floors shake, and sleep impossible — is routinely ignored in planning assessments.
And it gets worse.
The standard measurement system used — dB(A) — is designed to reflect how the human ear hears sound. But it filters out low-frequency and infrasound almost completely. So when a wind turbine generates powerful low-frequency vibration, dB(A) measurements make it look like nothing is happening.
Meanwhile, your house is acting like a tuning fork.
Buildings resonate. When low-frequency energy from wind turbines enters a structure, the building itself can amplify the effect — turning a "compliant" turbine into a genuine health hazard for the people living inside.
This isn't a theory. It's documented in Chapter 7 (The Wind Turbine Measurement Scandal) and Chapter 8 (Wind Turbines as Tuning Forks) of the Stop the Noise free handbook.
