Yesterday, my wife and myself, also a public official, had the privilege of meeting with Hon. Mayor Leni Robredo and members of her team in Naga City, Camarines Sur.
The meeting was not about selling software. It was about sharing ideas, experience, and discussing how organizations can make better decisions through planning, forecasting, resilience, governance, and the intelligent use of data.
Over the past two years, I have been building Treasury TradingHub, a decision intelligence platform inspired by lessons learned throughout more than 45 years in treasury, finance, risk management, transformation, and corporate training. What began as an idea has evolved into a growing collection of tools designed to help organizations look forward, not just backward.
One message I shared during the discussion is something I strongly believe:
Organizations rarely suffer from a lack of data. More often, the challenge is converting that data into better decisions.
It was encouraging to see Naga City's commitment to innovation, transparency, and continuous improvement in public service. I was particularly humbled when members of the team commented that my experience was valuable to the discussion. For me, that was one of the most meaningful parts of the meeting.
Technology is important, but technology alone is never the answer. Good governance, sound leadership, informed decision-making, and a willingness to adapt are what truly make a difference.
My sincere thanks to Mayor Robredo and her team for their warm welcome, openness, and willingness to explore new ideas.
A special thank you as well to my wife, who joined me on the trip and managed to capture a few memorable photographs from the day.
The journey continues, one conversation at a time.
