The gamer said that after 8 years of owning Gigabyte’s GTX 1080, it started showing artifacts and black screens. He tried repasting it, changing the thermal pads, cleaning it with isopropyl alcohol, and reinstalling drivers, but nothing helped.

As a last resort, he put the card in an oven, and surprisingly, it worked. He added that he might now be able to play Forza Horizon 6 on launch day.

As much as we see users getting rewarded with an extra piece of hardware 'mistakenly', we see an equal number of users getting scammed from the same platforms.

While some users are lucky enough to secure dozens of free SSDs and free GPUs, some don't even get the refunds for their defective products.
