THE LAPTOP IS OUT. THE FILES ARE STILL IN!

Our long-time client, Mr. Lagman, brought us a laptop that suffered liquid damage. After a couple of months of troubleshooting and repair attempts, we had to accept that the unit was beyond recovery.

But here's the good news!

We removed the SSD and successfully transferred the data to an external HDD, giving his important files a new home.

TECH TIP: A broken laptop doesn't automatically mean lost files. If your SSD or hard drive is still intact and readable, your documents, photos, and other important data may still be recoverable.

So before you panic or say goodbye to those precious files, have your storage drive checked by a professional.

UNTOUCHABLE PC! ⚡

Overheating. Random restarts. And a PC case that gives you a shock. Talk about a shocking combination!

Client Lou called Computer Upgrade PRO for help. Her PC was overheating, restarting unexpectedly, and giving her an unpleasant electrical sensation whenever she touched the case.

Our first suspect? The PSU. A transplant was on the table.

But before spending money on replacement parts, our technician went into detective mode. Magnifying glass out. Eagle eyes activated. Every detail mattered.

Then, we spotted the culprit.

The cable management looked clean and organized. Almost perfect, actually. But one cable had been placed under too much strain, damaging its insulation. The compromised section was making contact with the metal PC case, creating a potential electrical hazard.

Cable management: 10/10. Safety management: needs improvement.

Sometimes, the problem isn't a dead PSU or an expensive motherboard. It's one tiny detail hiding in plain sight.

A returning client brought his desktop PC to us after it suddenly stopped working and displayed a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD).

When we opened the case, we were surprised by what we found inside. Thick dust covered the case floor, cooling fan, cables, and other internal components.

SMALL BOX. BIG SPECS. SERIOUSLY HEAVY.

Alex came to our office with a few “bodyguards.”

Okay, fine… her friends. 😂

They brought in a small black box that looked pretty innocent.

Then we picked it up.

Small? Yes.
Light? Definitely NOT. 😂

Because this little monster packs some serious hardware:

• Ryzen 7
• 64GB RAM
• 2 × 2TB NVMe SSDs
• RTX GPU

Small box. Monster specs.

The problem?

It had power… but NO DISPLAY.

We started with basic troubleshooting, but the mini monster wasn't giving up its secrets. So we proceeded with a thorough diagnosis.

After a few days, we found the culprit:

The GPU was not working.

Time for a CUP PC Spa. ☕💻

We performed our CUP Premium Cleaning, completely disassembled the unit, refreshed the premium thermal paste, properly installed the GPU, and performed the requested System Refresh.

Then came the real test.

We ran our testing and diagnostic software…
