โSmart Foundation (Pangandoy sa Pag-Eskwela Foundation, Inc.): Development and Evaluation of an Integrated Web-Based Information Management Platform for Scholarship, Attendance, and Financial Management of San Carlos City.โ
This study presented the development of Smart Foundation, an integrated web-based information management platform designed to enhance the administration of scholarship programs through efficient management of scholar records, attendance monitoring, financial transactions, requirements processing, and organizational reporting.
Employing a research-and-development design, the study utilized the Rapid Application Development (RAD) approach supported by requirements analysis, iterative prototyping, three-tier architecture, relational database design, and role-based access control. The developed platform incorporated various modules including applicant and scholar management, digital requirements, scholarship status monitoring, RFID-assisted attendance tracking, community service records, donor and expense management, allowance releases, reports, notifications, and activity logs.
The findings revealed that Smart Foundation provides a centralized and organized information-management foundation that supports scholarship operations and improves the management of academic, attendance, and financial records. The study highlighted the importance of continuous system enhancement through user acceptance testing, security strengthening, privacy governance, backup validation, and improved financial approval controls to ensure effective implementation.
Based on the findings, the study recommends further system refinement and institutional adoption of digital solutions to strengthen nonprofit operations, improve transparency, and promote technology-driven management practices for scholarship organizations.
