Fun fact: alam n'yo bang hindi kailangan ng internet para magamit ang Apple Find My para hanapin ang nawawala n'yong Apple device?

Kahit offline yung Apple device, nakakapag-broadcast ito ng Bluetooth signals, na napi-picku ng mga malalapit na ibang Apple devices, tapos yung mga may internet, sila ang nagre-relay ng approximate location papunta sa network ng Apple. That's how the Apple Find My network works.

Of course, kung may naccaw na iPhone sa paligid mo, hindi sasabihin ng Apple sa iyo yon. Dinesign ng Apple ang network nila para hindi malaman ng mga nearby devices kung ano at sino ang tina-track using public-key cryptography and end-to-end encryption.

Pero ayon, eh ano kung naka-"Lost Mode"? Ano ang magagawa nung kumuha?

Unless highly skilled ang kumuha, parts-out ang bagsak n'yan. Yung Activation Lock, kahit na i-reset nang i-reset, naka-associate pa rin 'yan sa device, na kakailangan nng authorization nung original na owner. Dun pa lang, apektado na agad ang resale value n'yan.

So ayon, as Apple owners, dapat alam n'yo yung mga security features ng phone na finully-paid n'yo (allegedly). Sayang naman kung pang-mirror shot lang 'yang bagong iPhone 18 Pro Max n'yo.

Legit. Basta walang system requirements na above 7th gen CPU yung paggagamitan mo, panalo na 'to.

Ganitong laptop ang kunin mo kung low budget ka.

Yung tipong kailangan mo talaga ng laptop pero gipit ka? Ganitong used laptop ang kunin mo dapat.

Lenovo ThinkPad. Decent ang specs. Matibay. Tapos 16GB RAM na, in this economy.

Ang kaso, 7th gen lang. Di officially supported ng Windows 11, pero maraming paraan para ma-install (o kung Linux guy ka, much better).

Sleeper build = natutulog sa pansitan?

Kung gusto n'yo ng legit na sleeper build, kuha kayo ng business-grade laptops. Lenovo ThinkPad, HP EliteBook or ProBook, ASUS ExpertBook, Dell Latitude, and the likes.

On the surface, mukha lang din silang "just another laptop" dahil mukha naman silang normal na laptop (well, except for those outlandishly-looking gaming laptops). But in today's setup, na lahat ng pwedeng tipirin sa mga design ng mga laptops, titipirin, you're getting more from these sleeper ones:

✔️ superior build quality
✔️ good parts availability and repairability
✔️ guaranteed decent specs

Dyan pa lang sa mga 'yan, lamang ka na versus nearly ALL of the entry-level models na kamukha nila, at available elsewhere. That's why they pack that much value with them, kasi dinesign talaga sila para tumagal nang maayos ang takbo.

And that's what you should expect from a real sleeper build: unassuming, but has a hidden stash power and durability.

By far, wala pang nakakatalo dito in terms of being compact yet powerful enough for daily charging needs.
