In producing songs, it’s not just the equipment but the people behind it.

Here’s an older project where we produced the song, wrote the lyrics, supervised and coached the recording session for our client.

Due to the project’s location requirements, we had to record the vocals nearer to them but at the end of the day, our full production and supervision made the project not just a success but a fun one.

Here in Silver Switch Studio, we focus on the creative part while making sure our clients get guided properly. Our experience and catalog have shaped us to go beyond just gear and pressing record. Our heart really is to see our clients succeed and have pride in the final material they send out to the world. It sounds cheesy but we’re sincere like that. :)

Remember when we were told to “go paperless” to save the trees and help save the planet?

We replaced paper with screens.

But the environmental cost didn’t disappear.

It moved somewhere else.

Behind every AI query, video stream, cloud file and digital service are enormous data centers filled with servers that consume electricity around the clock. Those machines also generate tremendous heat, requiring cooling systems that can consume significant amounts of water.

And the impact doesn’t stop at the data center.

Power generation can require additional water. New facilities can consume land, increase demand on local electricity grids, produce noise and air pollution, and place pressure on ecosystems and nearby communities.

The digital world feels weightless.

It isn’t.

Our emails don’t look like they require factories. A cloud file doesn’t look like it needs a power plant. An AI conversation doesn’t look like it consumes water.

But somewhere, physical infrastructure is working continuously to make that digital experience possible.

That doesn’t mean paper was environmentally harmless.

It means the old equation—paper = bad, digital = green—was always too simple.

We didn’t eliminate the environmental footprint.

We changed its location, its scale and, in many cases, made it much harder to see.

The real question isn’t whether paper or digital is automatically better.

It’s whether we’re willing to understand the full environmental cost of the technology we increasingly depend on.
