About the Role
As an Account Officer, you will be responsible for keeping financial records up to date, checking for inaccuracies in invoices, and handling queries on general accounts. You will also provide high-quality administratively and accounts assistance to the team so that they may achieve their objectives effectively and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Data entry of invoices to the system.
Input of creditor invoices.
Process daily payment receipts to debtor ledgers.
Bank account reconciliation (cheque account, suspense, bank clearing, errors, etc).
Monthly creditor statement reconciliation.
Matching of unallocated creditor payments.
Matching of unallocated debtor payments.
Overdue debtor follow-ups (training in Ezycollect will be provided).
Attending to debtor requests for invoices and statements.
Email Filtering
Provide general support to the Accounts Department.
You will be required to be visible on zoom during working hours.
Other duties as directed.
About You
You MUST have high attention to detail and experience using MYOB Exo. You should also have advanced Excel skills and can work with accuracy and integrity.
Position Prerequisites
2-4 years of relevant experience.
Experience in using MYOB Exo is preferred.
Knowledgeable in bookkeeping.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
Good email etiquette.
Superb written and verbal communication skills.
Strong logical and analytical ability.
High attention to detail.
Works with accuracy and integrity.
Flexible team player willing to do what it takes to get the job done.
Must be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced quickly changing environment.
Understands Australian geography.
Ability to stay calm in a high-pressure environment.
