The session was supported and attended by Mr. Teddy Sumulong, Chief Excutive Officer, and employees from Finance, Human Resource, Administration, Field Operations, and IT Operations.

The Life Group aims to give spiritual growth and emotional support to its members. This activity is open to different religions.

Rizal Day is a Philippine national holiday celebrated on December 30 to commemorate the life and works of José Rizal, a national hero of the Philippines. On the night of his ex*****on, on December 30, 1896, Rizal proclaimed the Philippines "the Pearl of the Oriental Seas".

The date, December 30, marks the anniversary of Rizal's ex*****on in 1896 at Bagumbayan (now Rizal Park), Manila. His advocacy for political reforms in the Philippines under the hands of Spanish colonial authorities led to his early death at the age of 35. After his death, it sparked the revolution in the country against the Spanish government, which ruled Las Islas Filipinas (now the Philippines) from 1565 to 1898.

On Dec. 20, 1898, then-president Emilio Aguinaldo issued a decree declaring December 30 a day of national mourning for Rizal and other patriots who died during Spanish rule. In 1902, the Philippine Commission enacted a law declaring December 30 as Rizal Day, making it an official holiday. (https://www.pna.gov.ph/articles)
