This house became famous online because the owners decided to preserve the trees already growing on the property instead of cutting them down during construction.

Rather than removing the large trunks, the architects designed the building around them, creating openings through balconies, roofs, and walls so the trees could continue growing naturally through the structure.

The idea reflects a style of architecture that tries to work with nature instead of replacing it. In many cities, old trees are often removed to make space for buildings, roads, or parking areas.

Here, the owners chose the more difficult and expensive option of adapting the home’s design to protect the trees’ lives.

The trees also provide natural shade, cooler temperatures, and a unique appearance that makes the building stand out.

Happy Mother's Day!

John Sloane Art wishes every mom a wonderful Mother’s Day! This includes step-moms, foster moms, pet moms, and all women who love unconditionally as they nurture others. It often takes years (sometimes a lifetime) to fully appreciate everything our mothers do for us.
