Your bars only show signal strength. Your speed also depends on your internet plan, network congestion, interference, and the device you're using.

✅ Fact #2: Modern Wi-Fi is designed to coexist with household electronics.
Microwaves can cause temporary interference while they're running, but modern Wi-Fi technology minimizes these disruptions.

✅ Fact #3: A brand-new router isn't always the answer.
A faster internet plan, proper router placement, and capable devices often make a bigger difference than simply upgrading your hardware.

✅ Fact #4: Router placement matters more than you think.

⚡️ Internet Acting Up? Refresh it Like a Pro (Using Command Prompt!) ⚡️

Is your internet connection feeling a bit sluggish? Before you throw your router out the window (we've all been there!), try this quick trick using your computer's Command Prompt! It's like a mini-reset for your network, and it might just do the trick.

Here's the super simple how-to:

1️⃣ Open Command Prompt:
▪ Flush your DNS: Type ipconfig /flushdns and press Enter. This clears any old DNS entries that might be causing problems.
▪ On macOS: Open Spotlight Search (Cmd + Space), type "terminal," and press Enter.

2️⃣ Release your IP Address: Type ipconfig /release and press Enter. This tells your computer to let go of its current IP address.

3️⃣ Renew your IP Address: Type ipconfig /renew and press Enter. This requests a fresh IP address from your router.

4️⃣ Flush your DNS: Type ipconfig /flushdns and press Enter. This clears any old DNS entries that might be causing problems.

5️⃣ Restart your router (optional but recommended): Unplug your router for about 30 seconds, then plug it back in. This gives your router a fresh start too!
