Nakita niyo ba itong viral post? 10M daw yung “server” na parang ordinary PC. 😂
Kung sa’kin yan, bentahan ko pa kayo ng 1M nalang!
Pero seryoso, alam niyo ba na ang totoong 10M server dapat parang mini data center na?
Yung nasa post, standard desktop PC lang yan. Ang brand-new setup ng ganyan ay estimated nasa ₱50K–₱150K lang.
A 10M Server should not be like this. That kind of budget could build a small data center, not just one machine. It should have fail-safe power supplies so if one fails, a backup automatically kicks in and the system stays on. It needs Enterprise-Grade Processors like Intel Xeon or AMD Epyc, which are built for heavy, non-stop work. For data integrity, it should have ECC RAM to prevent errors and RAID storage that uses multiple drives to ensure your data is always backed up and accessible. The system should also include hot-swappable drives, which let a technician swap a bad drive without shutting down the system. All of this should be housed in a rack-mountable chassis with advanced cooling. Finally, the purchase itself should include genuine licenses and long-term maintenance to keep it running smoothly for years to come
When you're talking about that much money, the purchase should be a long-term solution that can support services for an entire municipality
Parang bumili ka ng tricycle sa presyo ng bus.
Kaya kung pera ng bayan ang gagamitin, dapat sulit. Every peso should be spent wisely and transparently.
