The NBI has just seized an estimated โฑ31.4 million worth of suspected counterfeit data storage devices in recent raids in Manila. During coordinated raids in Quiapo and San Miguel, agents confiscated thousands of fake memory cards, USBs, and external hard drives illegally bearing the "SanDisk" and "Seagate" trademarks.
Fake storage devices are notorious for flooding ecommerce right now your files with mislabelled capacities, unreliable performance, and/or data integrity.
This just removes a partial source, as numerous other brands are still plagued by bootlegs like 2TB flash drives sold for only PHP200 that usually deceive non-tech savvy buyers.
