NBA 2K17 Tournament
Champion: 1,000 PHP
Runner Up: 500 PHP
::::: TOURNAMENT MECHANICS :::::
- ENTRY FEE IS 200 PHP per head.
- Tournament WILL START after all 16 SLOTS have been filled.
- GAMES will be held every Sunday.
- POSITIONS in the playoff chart will be determined via draw lots.
- Elimination, Quarter Finals and Semi-final GAMES will be BEST OF 3, and finals will be a "BEST OF 5" game.
- The length of playing time for all games will be set at 3 minutes per quarter except for the Quarterfinals, Semi-finals and Finals where the playing time will be set at 10 minutes per quarter.
- Players are permitted to use any of the normal 30 NBA teams from the 2016-2017 Season's LATEST UPDATE.
- Players are permitted to change teams during the tournament, and can also change plays and coaches settings during the tournament.
- If two competing players want to play with the same team, they will have to flip a coin to decide who gets to use that team in front of a staff.
- Players will flip a coin to decide home/away positions.
::::: GAME SETTINGS :::::
- Skill level is set at SUPERSTAR.
- All Settings and Camera Views are set to DEFAULT aside from those specified here.
= Instant Replay and Cinema Cut Scenes will be turned OFF
= Fatigue and Injuries will be TURNED ON
= Competition Style will be set to Analog (Real Mode)
= Shooting/Free-Throw Type will be set to User Timing
= Game Speed/Free Throw Difficulty will be set to 50
= MANUAL OR AUTOMATIC Substitutions, Time Outs, and Late Game Fouling are allowed but must be preset before the start of the game.
= No manual substitution via START button. Substitutions are only allowed in-game via D-Pad and during Time Outs.
= If you pause the game (using the START button) or press the PS Menu button, you must burn a timeout as a penalty. If you have no timeouts left, you will be required to take a penalty (Delay of game for offense, or out of bounds for the defense).
::::: MISCELLANEOUS RULES :::::
- If the game goes into overtime, the competing individuals will be allowed to compete given the allotted time. The individual with the highest score at the end of the overtime game wins the game.
- In the event of an outage of power, accidental unplugging, system freeze or some other event not in either players' control that would not allow the participants to finish the game, the STAFF has the control to decide whether or not a restart of the match is warranted.
- All competition equipment will be provided by the organizers. In case of any equipment issue, players must immediately notify the STAFF to deal with the problem.
::::: GLITCH RULES :::::
- Remember, once this happens you must pause the game immediately and call for a STAFF to come and review the play. DO NOT take the liberty of reviewing the play before contacting a STAFF.
::::: PENALTIES FOR BREAKING THE RULES :::::
- If you feel that your opponent is cheating, notify a staff/judge. The staff/judge’s decision is final and if the player is deemed to be cheating, they can be kicked out of the Tournament and all future tournaments.
::::: CONDUCT :::::
- Please refrain from cursing or using foul language. Proper behavior is expected on all contenders. Failure to cooperate may result player/players to be disqualified.
- No sideline coaching is allowed. You may not offer advice to anyone playing a game.
- If you are more than 30 minutes late to a game’s posted time, you forfeit that game.
- Any player that purposely turns off a game while it is in progress will result in a forfeit.
By agreeing to participate in the video game tournament, you grant full permission to the INTERNET CAFE, with no obligation to compensate you, to use your name, voice, statements, image, likeness, and/or actions, in addition to any photographs, videotapes, motion pictures, recordings, and/or other record of your performance(s) in the Events in perpetuity worldwide in any manner and in any and all media, whether now known or hereafter devised (the “Materials”), and represent that you have the right to grant such permission.
