Ascendant Technologies, Inc. chosen by DICT as the Philippine Representative to Startups@ASEAN Program

After a rigorous round of pitches from 12 start-up companies, Ascendant Technologies, Inc. emerged on top of only three companies to win the approval of a panel of judges for the Asian Roadshow Event for Kickstart Accelerator. Ascendant Technologies ended up receiving an advantage code with increased chances of being shortlisted for the succeeding rounds of the competition.

Impact Hub Manila hosted this event to help the startups sharpen their pitch, as well as encourage them to make room for improvement through the mentorship, and be motivated to do their best in the midst of competition.

ASCENDANT TECHNOLOGIES, INC. A FINALIST FOR STARTUPS TO THE RESQUE SLINGSHOT ASEAN PITCHING COMPETITION

One of the Department of Trade and Industry’s private sector partner in developing and promoting startups, QBO Innovation Hub, picked Ascendant Technologies, Inc. as one of the 20 picks among over 130 participating startups across ASEAN for its first STARTUP TO THE RESQUE pitch competition.

Organized by QBO Innovation Hub, STARTUP TO THE RESQUE is a pitch competition in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation (PDRF), and DTI’s SlingShot ASEAN. The pitch competition challenged startups to develop the best innovation solution related to disaster resilience and recovery.

ASCENDANT TECHNOLOGIES, INC. CHOSEN BY DICT AS THE PHILIPPINE REPRESENTATIVE TO STARTUPS@ASEAN PROGRAM

The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) as country coordinator for the program coursed out a call to our partners and stakeholders for applications of growth-stage startups who are eligible and in a good position to maximize this opportunity, the Startups@ASEAN Program is initiated by the Infocomm Media Development Authority - Singapore and is part of the 16th ASEAN Telecommuncation Ministers Meeting (TELMIN).

The DICT believes that Ascendant Technologies will best represent the Philippines in the regional event and was chosen as the Philippine Representative to the STARTUPS@ASEAN Program.

ASCENDANT TECHNOLOGIES, INC., GRAND WINNER OF THE TAKEDA DIGITAL HEALTHCARE INNOVATION CHALLENGE PITCHING COMPETITION 2017

Ascendant Technologies, Inc., snatched the top prize for its electronic medical record (EMR) solution called The Finder. A unique feature of Ascendant’s EMR system is that it can catch red flags in a basic patient examination and forward them to the doctor specialists for further examination.

For winning the contest, Ascendant Technologies, Inc., was awarded a cash prize and the chance to work with Takeda Pharmaceuticals International to further develop its EMR solution.

The Digital Healthcare Innovation Challenge is underwritten by Takeda Healthcare Philippines Inc. (THPI), which is a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceuticals International GMBH, based in Switzerland.
