Many times our mobile phone gets damaged if we accidentally dropped it in water. It can get wet with water, rain water, tea, coffee or any other liquid. After getting wet in water or any other liquid, most mobile phone gets dead and stops working. It won’t turn ON. Or even if it gets Switched ON for Few seconds or minutes, it will again Switch OFF on its own and won’t turn ON again.

How To Fix Water Damaged Mobile Phone – Step-by-Step Guide
1. If you dropped you iPhone or Android Smartphone or Simple Feature Phone in Water, Tea, Coffee or any other Liquid and the Phone Switched OFF on its Own then NEVER Try to Switch it ON. Remember the Phone is WET and if it is Not Water Proof then there are 100% Chances that the PCB of the Mobile Phone or the Logic Board is WET. As soon as you Turn it ON, there will be Shorting in the Phone and this will lead to More Damage.
2. Switch OFF the mobile phone and Remove the back cover and the battery.
3. Using a precision screwdriver, disassemble the mobile phone. This is very easy. Just remove all the screws and keeps them in a safe place. Make sure to remember the order in which you disassemble the mobile phone. This will be useful when you assemble it back.
4. If there is water in the display then you will also have to disassemble and remove the display.
5. Using a hot air blower , carefully dry out the PCB of the Mobile Phone and all other wet parts. You can also keep the disassembled mobile phone in sunlight and let it dry naturally.
6. Using an ESD-Safe brush and IPA solution or spirit, clean the circuit carefully. This prevents corrosion and oxidation on the PCB.
7. Now assemble back the mobile phone carefully.
Now the mobile phone must work. If it doesn’t works, charge the battery and try again. If it still doesn’t works then you may have to take the handset to a service center.
