Cable theft and vandalism can disrupt the services that families, businesses, and communities depend on. By reporting suspicious activities involving our facilities, you can help protect the network and the connections we all rely on every day.

A cable theft suspect linked to a viral video involving the destruction of a PLDT cabinet in Makati City was recently apprehended following an operation conducted in coordination with local authorities.

PLDT reminds the public that tampering with, stealing, or vandalizing telecommunications facilities is a criminal offense. We urge everyone to remain vigilant and immediately report suspicious activities involving network facilities to local authorities, or to PLDT's Security Hotline Number 164.

Protecting critical communications infrastructure is a shared responsibility. Together, we can help safeguard the services that connect communities, businesses, and essential services nationwide.

Staying connected when it matters most. PLDT and Smart continue to support families affected by through emergency load assistance, free calls and charging, and relief efforts. 📱🤝

Advisory: PLDT, Smart help habagat-affected families reconnect, reach out for help

Families affected by in Central Luzon are getting support to reconnect with loved ones, access important information, and reach out for help. TNT and Smart Prepaid subscribers in heavily affected areas, particularly those who have been flooded or evacuated from their homes, received Emergency Load Assistance (ELA) to help them communicate during the weather disturbance.

Load assistance from the PLDT Group initially covered affected communities in Bataan, Bulacan, Pampanga, and Zambales. PLDT and Smart have also deployed and sites to benefit affected residents. Stations are currently operational at:

• F. Mendoza ES, Brgy Sapang Bayan, Calumpit, Bulacan
• Brgy Lara BJMP Megadike Kayabe Evacuation Center, San Fernando, Pampanga

Support also extends beyond communications. PLDT and Smart have mobilized relief operations for affected communities in Central Luzon, with the first batch of relief packs provided by the Group's social outreach arm, PLDT-Smart Foundation (PSF), in Apalit, Sto. Tomas, and San Simon in Pampanga. Remaining relief packages will be distributed in the coming days. PLDT and Smart will also continue to coordinate with local government units and disaster response partners to identify communities most in need of support.
