Responsibilities:
Create and maintain our product’s reference guides, API guide, installation and upgrade guides.
Work with current and upcoming releases to write step-by-step procedures and descriptive content on product and never-been seen features related to Ahsay’s backup solutions.
Install Ahsay’s backup software on Windows, Mac, and Linux hosts, along with Enterprise applications (Hyper-V, VMware, Exchange, SQL, M365, etc), creating and running Backup/Restores to learn and understand the new features, then generate written content based on experience.
Work with our Development and QA teams in understanding new or enhanced product features and technical design, all in effort to effectively communicate that well in our product documentation.
Organize and maintain product knowledge materials on our web resources and knowledge base platforms.
Excellent time management. Able to adapt to fast-pace product updates, turnkey changes to align with product enhancements
Perform other related duties as assigned, such as write up: Advisories, How To’s, Datasheets, Whitepapers, online product help pages, and more!
Requirements:
Degree Holder of Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent preferred.
4+ years Technical Writing experience. Experience in technical writing of software documentation is a definite plus. Lesser experience may qualify as Junior Technical Writer.
At least 2+ years’ working experience in System Integrator, Consulting, or Software vendor background.
Is comfortable in working with a diverse set of software, hardware, and network technologies.
Is proactive in seeking out answers and likes to take hands on approach in testing to improve the understanding and knowledge of our software products.
Is self-motivated and able to create technical documentation with minimal supervision.
Has attention to detail to spot and correct errors, to ensure documentation conforms to naming conventions, has consistent styling and format that is uniform throughout all works. Has ability to quickly format content written from various sources, to conform to our standard guidelines.
Excellent written skills in English.
Can articulate complicated technical concepts, jargon, and procedures into clear & simple English and is able to communicate to different audiences.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint), HTML, JSP.
Some graphic design skill is helpful but not mandatory.
