Behind every blocked domain is a student trying to build a better life. 🎓
My inbox blew up. Most of my students were suddenly locked out of their learning portal—not because of a server crash, but because a government agency hit "Block" without checking how the platform is actually used.
Their excuse?
“Hindi namin alam na ginagamit pala sa business at pag-aaral.” 🫠
As educators, we teach students to research before making claims. It’s deeply frustrating when regulatory bodies execute the exact opposite logic on a national scale.
Discord isn't just a gaming app. It’s a modern classroom where students collaborate, submit work, and access mentorship.
And the worst part? Actual bad actors bypass these blocks in 10 seconds using a VPN. The only people penalized are the honest students and workers playing by the rules.
Cybersecurity and child safety are crucial—we fully support going after criminals. But policy requires precision, not a sledgehammer.
If we tell students to "Think Before You Click," agencies must learn to "Research Before They Regulate."
