University of Iloilo’s F1StackMind Joins 2026 INNOVEX

Innovation is not just about technology , it’s about people coming together to push boundaries and reimagine possibilities. This year, the F1StackMind team from the College of Information Technology Education at the University of Iloilo is stepping into the spotlight once again as they join the 2026 INNOVEX.

This year theme "Integrating AI into an Ecosystem"

For those unfamiliar, INNOVEX (or InnoVEX) is widely known as Asia’s premier startup and innovation exhibition platform. But within the PHINMA Education Network, it takes on a special role: a stage for students to showcase their creativity, technical skills, and collaborative spirit.

This marks the second consecutive year that the University of Iloilo has participated. Last year, the university proudly celebrated the success of Mr. Bonni Franco, a third-year BSIT student, who earned the Best Presenter Award -- a testament to the talent and determination nurtured within the institution.

The F1StackMind team is now gearing up to continue that legacy. Their participation reflects not only a drive for excellence but also a commitment to representing Iloilo on a bigger stage. With fresh ideas, teamwork, and the passion to innovate, they aim to inspire both peers and mentors alike.

Capstone 2 Inventory Check : The Final THROTTLE

Waiting for graduation isn’t just a day, it’s the day. The BSIT 4th year know, it’s not about the struggle (that’s surface-level noise), it’s about the patience, grit, and resiliency that finally cash in.

Now, BSIT 4 ,faces their last quest: compiling capstone projects and research work. It’s the ultimate grind, checking repositories, polishing documents, and locking down endpoint deployments.

And then? The curtain call. The diploma drops. The moment they’ve been waiting.

Phinma BSIT Students Present Capstone Project: Unified Incident Response System (UIRS)

Igbaras, Iloilo – The Kinaray-a Group of BSIT 4 students from Phinma University of Iloilo ,College of Information Technology Education , recently showcased their capstone project, the Unified Incident Response System (UIRS), in these local govt units: the MDRRMO Main Office Igbaras and the Bureau of Fire Protection Office Igbaras.

The project aims to eliminate the long-standing “Coordination Gap” in emergency response. By transforming fragmented, manual processes into a centralized digital ecosystem, UIRS ensures immediate, data-driven action to save lives and protect property.

The system is still in the testing process.

FLOW: CITE Code Unleashed

FLOW (Final Learning Output Workability) is the ultimate proving ground for BSIT 1 students. It’s the stage where they flex their programming muscles and unleash their Java wizardry.

At Phinma University of Iloilo, every BSIT 1 student must face FLOW, a test of wit, grit, and coding chops. Recently, during P3 (the final term), a simultaneous FLOW assessment challenged all BSIT 1 students. The journey began with low-stakes case problems and escalated into high-stakes coding battles.

In this process, each student’s output reflects their learning equity, whether they’ve mastered the lessons or discovered gaps that need filling.

FLOW isn’t just a test; it’s a launchpad. It will continue to sharpen the skills of lower-year students, pushing them to level up and code like champions.

FLOW( Final Learning Output Workability): A BSIT-1 Individual Coding Assessment🎯

Around here, FLOW means Final Learning Output Workability, your ultimate checkpoint to prove you’ve leveled up.

For BSTT 1 students, FLOW is the individual grind: a test of progress, skill, and grit. Meanwhile, BSIT 1 gets their hands on the swipe file, a slick PDF packed with Java programming goodness, basically your digital cheat sheet (the legal kind).

And guess what? FLOW isn’t just a solo mission. It’s where creativity takes center stage. Students learn to unleash their inner tech rebels, and build mini systems that scream originality.

Capstone : BSIT 3 Summer progression

Capstone is the buzz in every IT corner, often hyped as daunting, yet truly a wondrous subject. But let’s set the record straight: it’s not about depletion, it’s about innovation! This is the culminating milestone of your IT journey.

The College of Information Technology Education at Phinma University of Iloilo is reshaping the capstone experience, creating a cooler and more supportive landscape for students to thrive.

And here’s the exciting part: this summer, BSIT 3 students will continue their capstone progression. After successfully completing Capstone and Research 1, they’ll move into a bridging program designed to close gaps in documentation and strengthen skills. Documentors will sharpen their writing, while lead programmers and UI/UX designers will weave systems and apps with confidence.

Our capstone analytics says that, 80%percent of the BSIT 3 students nips the 65 % mark. Embarking to 70 to 100% completion on the 3rd week of June 26-27.

Breaking Barriers: BSIT 3 embarking to Capstone 2.

Kudos to all BSIT 3 students !!who hurdled the Capstone and Research 1 Final Proposal Defense!

The defense was divided into four powerhouse clusters:, Digital Arts & Animation, System Development, Business Informatics, and Computer Security. Each group brought its own flavor of innovation and grit.

Moving forward, BSIT 3 will continue refining their System/app and documentation from Chapters 1 to 3, with a tight weekly online inventory to track progress. The last leg of the defense spotlighted the Computer Security track, proving that resilience and sharp thinking are the hallmarks of this batch.

Guiding this journey are the capstone faculty mentors: Mr. Ryan Valeriano and Ms. Kristille Velasco.
