There's a type of work that accounting teams are really good at — reviewing, advising, reconciling, catching what doesn't add up.
And then there's document encoding.
Receipts, invoices, vouchers — hundreds of them a month, sometimes thousands. Reading each one, typing the details into a system, checking for errors, doing it again when something doesn't match.
It's not the work that requires a trained accounting mind. But it's the work that ends up consuming a significant chunk of the day.
The firms that are figuring out how to handle the high-volume, repetitive side of document processing more efficiently aren't cutting their teams. They're freeing them up to do the work that actually requires their expertise.
That's a different kind of practice — and it's becoming a real competitive advantage.
