Intel’s processor names can be confusing, but here’s the quick breakdown:
🔹 i3 – Basic performance for everyday tasks
🔹 i5 – Mid-range, great for multitasking
🔹 i7 – High performance for demanding work
🔹 i9 – Top-tier power for heavy workloads
💡 Bigger number = more power, but the most expensive isn’t always the best for your needs.
What really matters:
→ Generation: Newer generations perform better (e.g. 10th gen > 7th gen)
→ Cores & Speed: More cores = better multitasking
→ Suffix letters (U, H, K, etc.): Indicate power usage, graphics, or overclocking
→ Cache size: More cache = faster everyday performance
👉 Two laptops with the same “i5” can perform very differently depending on generation and specs.
Bottom line: Choose the processor based on what you do, not just the name.
