NO LIGHTS, NO FAN… AND THE MISSING VOLTAGE INSIDE.
This HP Victus 16 suddenly stopped turning on.
No lights. No fan. No response at all.
The owner reported it was working perfectly fine before it completely shut down without warning.
Many might assume the charger had failed or the battery simply died. But the real problem was hidden deep on the motherboard.
After testing the unit, we discovered that key voltage lines were missing—specifically, the 3V and 5V power rails.
In laptop logic boards, these power rails are the foundational heartbeat of the system. Without 3V and 5V present, the system cannot even initiate the most basic power-up sequence. The laptop stays completely dead.
If ignored, compromised power circuits can lead to further component failure over time and make data recovery much harder.
At PC BEE, we traced the power section step by step.
Diagnosed the compromised circuits causing the missing 3V and 5V rails.
Performed the necessary motherboard repairs to restore normal power flow.
The result? The vital voltage lines returned, the startup sequence initiated, and the HP Victus powered on flawlessly.
A huge thank you to our customer for your purchase and for trusting our team to handle this complex logic board repair!
Reminder: A laptop with zero signs of life isn't necessarily dead forever. Properly diagnosing and restoring missing power rails is the first step to saving the motherboard.
