• Test hardware on systems to ensure that it is in good condition.

ASSOC MFG EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIANS

• Performs repair and maintenance of ATE systems and probers including ovens, ashers, wafer sorter, UV erase and inkers
• Assist other Business units during set up and or qualification of new products/device
• Assist Equipment engineers during buy off, installation or transfer of equipment
• Executes prober conversion from soft dock to hard dock or vice versa
• Escalates line issues that require attention by immediate supervisor such as prolonged downtime especially for critical setups.

MANUFACTURING EQUIPMENT TECHNICIANS

• Performs the proper maintenance of all back grinding and dicing saw machine and other auxiliary machines to ensure an optimum efficiency at all time.
• Performs machine conversions of back grind auxiliary machines and dicing saw machine from 6” to 8” wafer size or vice versa and performs machine set-up whenever requested and or needed by the production.
• Performs or carries out the change of grinding wheel for back grinders, change of blade cutter and tape spools for taping machine and wafer mounting equipment.
• Performs change blade at dicing saw machine station as required and do perform blade dressing and hairline alignment prior endorsing to the assigned operator.
• Coordinates with production personnel the conversion plan for the preparations of needed materials or tools.
• Dismantles, assembles and performs major repair & troubleshooting based on OEM repair manuals for all the equipment in Die Prep Area (Back grind & Dicing Saw stations).
• Guides operators on tasks pertaining to machine tape replacements, program recipe selections and machine parameter check.
• Performs PM activities in the absence of PM Technician assigned.
• Performs the replacement of CO2 cylinder /tank used for dicing saw operation, performs bubble leak test on connector valves and feedback requirement needed for the replenishment.
• Conducts initial investigation on equipment issues and other technical problems and suggests solutions to correct and prevent problem recurrence.
• Assists Engineering evaluations and qualifications by performing machine set-up characterization, parameter optimization and device programming.
• Monitors equipment performance, conduct audits on machine SOP and provides guidance to line operators.
• Able to learn & perform new tasks & assignments given from time to time.

EDUCATION:
• Graduate of at least 2-year Electro Mechanical Course and/or any of the Engineering courses ECE, EE, ME, COE is an advantage

Test Systems Board Repair Engineer 3

College graduate, BSECE, or Equivalent Degree
5+ Year’s experience

Good written and verbal communication skills, strong circuit analysis capability, component level troubleshooting, familiar with DVM, Oscilloscope and other test equipment. Organized and detail oriented, Independent and can work with minimal supervision; Moderate level programming capability required. Knowledgeable in C or C++ Preferred. Understanding of ATE systems architecture and board circuitry recommended.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

· Interfaces with tester vendors on spares, repairs, upgrades and new purchases.
· Troubleshoots assigned tester board failures and resolves issues at component level.
· Recommends and develops procedures, processes or tools to improve system performance
· Capable of using tools (basic tools like DMM, oscilloscope) in practical problems solving

· Manages tracking of all assigned boards (logbook and databases)

· Ensures that all boards are repaired/replaced within expected turn times

· Evaluates failure trends to determine corrective actions and implements them

· Applies logical engineering problem solving, advanced circuit analysis and debug skills to achieve results

· Modifies existing tester boards as per factory ECO’s to ensure proper performance.
Utilizes application (software and hardware) skills for online identification of root cause failures on boards passing diags but failing product

· Has strong circuit analysis skills and can break down instrument board circuit blocks for better understanding of failure modes.

· Can apply key learning’s to any platform (with schematics) to quickly develop repair capability

· Supports repairs on at least 3 platforms at moderate capability level

· Develops training materials used for advanced troubleshooting procedures/tools. Has strong ability to teach and mentor others

BS Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical engineering graduate
Experience: 5+ years, strong background in semiconductor test, drift test, and burn-in recommended

Good written and verbal communication skills, solid circuit analysis capability, familiar with DVM, Oscilloscope and other test equipment. Organized and detail oriented, Can work with minimal supervision;
Knowledge in C++, XML and visual basic programming is a plus
Experience in PM and maintenance of Burn-in ovens, Reliability chambers and other chambers that ramps to extreme cold temperatures
Refrigeration maintenance; compressor replacement, refrigerant evacuation, system vacuum, refrigerant refilling and liquid nitrogen handling

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Applies logical engineering problem solving, basic circuit analysis and debug skills to achieve results

2. Performs component level troubleshooting and repair of burn-in and bath, and drift boards

3. Recommends and develops procedures, processes or tools to improve system performance

4. Carries out cost reduction initiatives by improving the design of electrical, electronic and mechanical components of environmental test systems
5. Performs troubleshooting and repair of hardware and equipment; scheduled calibration and preventive maintenance of all environmental test systems.
6. Resolves setup yield issues and investigate QA failure due to electrical, electronics and mechanical problems of machines and hardware
7. Ensures proper working condition and calibration of cooling and heating mechanisms of all environmental chambers
8. Performs evaluations and characterization of new products in environmental test chambers and provides data and analysis to test development/design teams
9. Collaborates with manufacturing teams and QA to meet or exceed ISO, TS and Customer standards
10. Responds to customer complaints and audits and creates 8D reports when needed
