Ma’am Editha contacted us regarding her laptop, which was no longer working. A previous technician had checked the unit and suspected a faulty power IC.

We informed her that we needed to inspect the laptop ourselves to verify the actual problem. She then decided to ship her laptop from Rizal to Cavite for further diagnosis.

🔍 DIAGNOSIS:

After thoroughly checking the laptop, we discovered that the problem was related to the processor.

We explained the issue to the client and advised that repairing the laptop would no longer be practical due to the nature of the problem. Instead, we recommended purchasing a laptop in good condition as a more practical option.

💻 LAPTOP PURCHASE:

After discussing the available options, Ma’am Editha decided to purchase a good-condition laptop from us.

📋 CLIENT CONCERN:

Ma’am Kate contacted me through my personal Facebook account after being referred by a friend. She sent a video showing an error message: “Documents is not accessible.”

She needed to recover and back up two important files and one video. The laptop also showed a “Fixing (E:)” process with a progress percentage.

🔍 DIAGNOSIS:

Since Ma’am Kate had work at night, we arranged to pick up her laptop for further inspection.

Upon checking, we found that her files were stored on a secondary hard drive (HDD), which was already faulty and unreadable.

We recommended replacing the faulty 500GB HDD and reinstalling the operating system, upgrading from Windows 11 Enterprise to Windows 11 Pro.

Unfortunately, since the HDD was no longer readable, we explained that we could not access or back up the requested files. We made sure the client understood the situation before proceeding with the repair.

🛠️ REPAIR PERFORMED:

✔️ Replaced the Faulty 500GB HDD
✔️ Reinstalled Windows 11 Pro
✔️ Installed MS Office
✔️ Installed Basic Applications
✔️ System Configuration and Testing

✨ RESULT:

The faulty HDD was replaced, and Windows 11 Pro was successfully installed along with MS Office and other basic applications. The laptop was configured and tested to ensure it was working properly.

Although the requested files could not be backed up due to the faulty HDD, we completed the necessary repairs to get the laptop working again.

📋 CLIENT CONCERN:
The laptop had not been used for a long time—it had been stored since college. When the client decided to use it again, she noticed several issues, including:

🔹 Broken hinge on the LCD frame
🔹 LCD screen bleeding
🔹 Battery that needed replacement

The client decided to prioritize the broken hinge repair so she could safely lend and use the laptop.

🔍 DIAGNOSIS:
Upon inspection, the right-side LCD hinge was confirmed to be broken, causing the LCD frame to become loose.

🛠️ WORK PERFORMED:
✔️ Repaired the broken right-side LCD hinge
✔️ Light cleaning around the CPU fan
✔️ System inspection and cleaning
✔️ Virus & malware scanning
✔️ Junk file cleanup

During the scanning process, we also discovered a significant amount of junk files and a Trojan virus, which could contribute to the laptop’s slow performance.

⚠️ UNEXPECTED ISSUE:
Unfortunately, while performing the antivirus scan, the laptop’s LCD suddenly developed a display problem, causing the screen display to move/distort.

This issue was not part of the original concern, but we documented it and informed the client about the newly observed LCD problem.

✨ RESULT:
The broken hinge was successfully repaired, the laptop was cleaned and checked, and the system was scanned for malware and unnecessary files. The newly observed LCD issue was also identified and properly communicated to the client.
