A Milestone for Jose Rizal Memorial State University
We are proud to announce that JRMSU's proposal, “IMPACT: Scaling Up Market-Ready, Mission-driven Innovation and Traction-Building (SUMMIT) for JRMSU's Knowledge Transfer and Technology Office," has been approved for funding by the Governing Council of the Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (DOST-PCIEERD), with a grant of
₱4,826,200.00.
This achievement marks a defining step in JRMSU's journey toward becoming a true Smart UniverCity — one that transforms research into real impact for farmers, industries, and communities across the Zamboanga Peninsula and beyond.

What We Aspire to Achieve
Through this project, JRMSU's Knowledge Transfer and Technology Office will grow into a fully functioning innovation hub — one that equips our researchers with real commercialization skills, screens and protects our University's technologies through patents and licenses, forges lasting partnerships with industry, and turns homegrown innovations like the coconut dehusker and solar-powered sprayer into tools that improve the lives of farmers and entrepreneurs. Most importantly, we aspire to build an institution that outlives this grant — a KTTO with the people, systems, and Board-backed policies to keep translating JRMSU's research into lasting value for the community, long after the project ends.
