Ethical Hacking Lab – Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF)

SSRF is a web vulnerability that allows an attacker to trick a server into making requests to unintended locations.

In this lab demonstration, I show the basic concept of how a vulnerable application can be abused to make server-side requests.

Educational purposes only.
Performed in a controlled training environment provided by PortSwigger Web Security Academy.

I found a candidate for a SSRF(Server Side Request Forgery) in which i've seen a stockAPI that this server has an ability to communicate localhost or any IP address subnet.

As always, each and every day keep learning. See you around guys.

Another day, another way to learn ethical hacking. πŸ‘ŒπŸ˜„
Every day brings new challenges, new lessons, and new opportunities to improve my cybersecurity skills.

A little note: this Mac is already an old machine, but it continues to help me learn and grow. I appreciate it even more because it reminds me that you don't always need the latest technology to keep learning. It also brings a sense of nostalgia and holds a lot of sentimental value for me.

Ethical Hacking Lab – Authentication Vulnerabilities

In this scenario, the lab demonstrates how weaknesses in authentication mechanisms can allow attackers to gain unauthorized access to user accounts. This highlights the importance of secure login systems, proper credential handling, and strong authentication practices in web applications.

Ethical Hacking Lab – Access Control: Vertical Privilege Escalation

In this scenario, a low-privileged user attempts to gain access to higher-level functionalities or administrative features without proper authorization. This demonstrates how broken access control vulnerabilities can occur in web applications.

Note: This activity was performed inside a training lab provided by PortSwigger for EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY.
