NOTICE OF HIRING (urgent)
Position to be filled up are;
2 Assistant Cooks and 1 Utility Worker
CHAN KITCHENETTE is a take out restaurant with a core mission to serve healthy and quality meals without compromising affordability. Target customers are the students as well as the resident professionals of UEP.
If hired as a cook, you will be given the opportunity to showcase your expertise and experience thereby assisting the management accomplish its objective. This will also give you the opportunity to set this restaurant apart from the competition by exemplifying the highest degree of customer satisfaction. Further, by communicating to the management exactly what you can bring to the table and the knowledge and skills that you can share to the team with enthusiasm.
ASSISTANT COOK
Job responsibilities :
1. In collaboration with the management, formulates plans, maintains records and reviews menus and recipes on an ongoing basis.
2. Prepares ingredients by following recipes; slicing, cutting, chopping, mincing, stirring, whipping and mixing ingredients; adding seasonings; verifying taste and preparing meals for take out.
3. Depending on the menu, completes food preparation by grilling, sautéing, roasting, frying, braising, broiling and other cooking methods applicable to the menu.
4. Assembling, refrigerating and storing leftover food and ingredients for immediate future use.
5. Adheres to proper food handling, sanitation and safety procedures; maintains appropriate dating, labeling and rotation of all food items.
6. Coordinates daily food supply inventory, places and expedites orders when applicable and assists with receipt of deliveries. Reviews accuracy of daily incoming marketed items.
7. Ensures smooth operation during the absence of the supervisor and/or helpers.
8. Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of equipment, food storage, floors, cabinets, shelvings and the overall surroundings in accordance with set schedules.
9. Gives sensible suggestions and refers complex concerns to supervisor.
10. Train helpers in the use of new equipment and cleaning methods and provides efficient and effective methods of maintaining work area.
11. Take orders from customers and process payment in accordance with established procedure.
Work hours: full time position/flexible
Qualifications/skills:

Education and experience;
• Minimum high school diploma but college level is an advantage
• minimum two (2) years of restaurant cooking experience to include food preparation
Salary; to be discussed during the interview process and is highly dependent on the experience and educational attainment.
UTILITY WORKER
Job Responsibilities
- Procures supplies, food commodities and other necessary kitchen items.
- Tends the food counter by taking orders from customers and receives money out of the transaction and remits the same to the cashier.
- Provides assistance to the cook when necessary.
Regularly cleans/disinfects the whole kitchen.
- Does other related work as may be directed by superiors.
Skills/competence and Qualifications:
Honest, trustworthy, Team player, dedicated and hard working, experience in kitchen work, at least high school graduate.
