It was called the Rural Impact Sourcing Technical Training (RIS-TT). The training aims to provide employment to individuals who are willing to work from home. With this training, it hopes to aid the problem of unemployment within the locality of Carmona. Digiworkz Carmona Service Cooperative has started their roots when the members graduated from the said training. At first, they gathered and pool
ed together all their talents to create a group that would cater to this new kind of business. Their first offer is mainly to boost businesses by creating their website. This will serve as their online doorway to gaining more customers. Other services are offered too, like photography, social media campaign, etc. While everything is being done, the group also endeavoured to register themselves as a cooperative. After registering with Cooperative Dev. Authority (CDA) and BIR and submitting all necessary documents to be legalized, the team is now ready to grow their numbers. They set up a new training module to give to new applicants and introduce them to the online world. The month long training was held last July 2018 with 21 new participants. They have passed on to the new comers all that they have learned and more. They trained them on photography, web development, and everything about being an online worker. Now, the newcomers have become members of the Digiworkz Carmona group. All 31 talented individuals are now ready to digitize your business. Coining the original ‘overseas filipino worker’, OFW will now be identified as “ONLINE Filipino Workers” which is now a growing population in the world wide web. Soon there will be new trainees to come and new talents to harness. And as the saying goes, “Help will always be provided to those who ask”. Digiworkz Carmona Service Cooperative will continue to train aspiring ‘webpreneurs’ and OFW version 2 and at the same time, continue to provide the services they have committed to offer.
