Many would say count your blessings and not your troubles...
π€ Though this is essentially true, I wonder how many would be courageous enough to list down their troubles and put everything under right perspective. π
πI'd like to share what I learned from the Bible during my morning devotion time and it gave me WISDOM and STRENGTH to face my current challenges. πππ
Reading and meditating on 2 Kings 6:1-7, about "The floating ax head", taught me the following:
π1β£(v.6) "What shall I do, sir?" he exclaimed to Elisha. "It was a borrowed ax!"
Should the man in the story kept to himself what had happened and not asked for help, he might have missed getting what he needed most at that time. Ask God's help, and also ask those around you. π£οΈ ππ¬π
π2β£(v.7) The man of God asked, "Where did it fall?" When he showed him the place, Elisha cut a stick and threw it there, and made the iron float.
Elisha only threw a stick onto the water and that made the ax head float. It's not the method and the tool he used, but it's his faith in GOD'S ABILITY to make MIRACLES with whatever he has in his hands. God honors the faith of those who believes in Him. If you ask help from Him, He will do WHAT ONLY HE COULD DO. πππ
π3β£(v.7) "Pick it up for yourself", Elisha said pointing to the floating ax head.
While God would do WHAT ONLY HE COULD DO, He'd leave the part WE COULD DO. He's able to just make the ax head appear on the man's hand or at least let it swim his way(haha!), but why won't He? ππ»πͺ
Troubles are here for reasons. List them down and do the 3! ππ€π€
God bless our week!
