How to Develop Your Gifts

People ask me all the time how to discover and develop the gifts God has given them. Here are a few helpful steps that I've discovered:

1. Focus on the strengths God gave you.
Concentrating on your strengths will help you fulfill the calling God has put on your life.

2. Exercise your gift.
Find something you like to do and that you do well, and do it over and over again. Want to know what will happen? You will feel better about yourself because you won't be constantly failing.

3. Have the courage to be different.
Unhappiness comes when you try to be like everyone else rather than embracing the unique person that you are.

4. Learn to cope with criticism.
Have enough confidence in who you are in Christ that you can listen to others and be open to change without feeling you have to agree with their viewpoint or attain their approval.

God has planted greatness in you. Let today be the beginning of a great adventure as you step into the gifts He's given you.

Prayer Starter: God, I want to cultivate and develop the gifts You've given me. Give me the courage to follow You and develop the gifts and abilities You've put inside me.

GOD IS LOVE — Even in the Small Tasks

“Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.” – 1 John 4:8

As an appointment setter and virtual assistant, my work may look simple to others — sending messages, booking calls, following up, organizing schedules. But today I’m reminded that even in these “small” tasks, God’s love is present.
God is love.

And when I speak kindly to a lead… that’s love.
When I patiently follow up even after being ignored… that’s love.

When I serve my clients with excellence and integrity… that’s love in action.

In a world full of pressure, quotas, and targets, I choose to work from a place of love — not fear. Because I don’t just represent a brand. I represent Christ in the way I communicate, respond, and serve.

Every booked call is not just a conversion.
It’s an opportunity to serve someone with grace.
Every rejection is not a failure.

It’s a reminder that my worth is not in numbers — it’s in God.

As a VA, I may work behind the scenes. But God sees what is done in secret. He blesses faithfulness. He honors diligence. He multiplies what is done with love.

Today, I will:
✨ Set appointments with integrity
✨ Communicate with patience
✨ Serve with excellence
✨ Lead with love

Because God is love — and I carry that love into my work.

God Has a Great Plan Just for You!

We need to refrain from comparing ourselves to anyone else because God doesn't want us to be frustrated and feel unworthy of the blessings He desires to give us. Comparing our lives with other people's lives is unfair, to them and to us. It's unfair to them because if we become jealous of what they have, what they know, how they look, etc., we start to resent them. Then we can no longer appreciate them as the wonderful person God made them to be. It's unfair to us because it limits God's plan for our lives.

Comparison says to God, 'I want to limit Your work in my life to this and nothing else. I just want to be like this other person.' But God has an individual plan for each of us. His plan for you is greater than you could possibly imagine. Stop looking at His plans for others so you can walk in the plans He has for you and receive the blessings they bring.

Prayer Starter: Holy Spirit, help me to examine my heart honestly and expose any jealousy, resentment or frustration in me that has developed from comparing myself to others. I want to be all that You want me to be and live the life You have for me.

You Are Never Alone

Grief and loneliness are major problems facing people today. The two often go together because many Christians and unbelievers grieve over being lonely. In my ministry, an increasing number of people request prayer for loneliness. God's Word tells us plainly that we are not alone. He wants to deliver, comfort and heal us. But when you encounter painful losses in your life, you can lose sight of this simple truth. Satan wants you to believe you are alone. He wants you to believe that no one understands how you feel, but his claims are false.

In addition to God being with you, many believers understand what you are experiencing mentally and emotionally. You are not alone now nor will you ever be, no matter what confronts you. You may not understand much when you are hurting and the pain of loss is ripping through your soul, but know and hold on to this one truth: God loves you, and He has a future for you. Hope in Him and trust Him to turn your mourning into joy (see Isaiah 61:1-3).

Prayer Starter: God, I can't always see through my grief and loneliness, but I know that You never leave me. Help me to remember that You are near, and guide me to other believers who I can join with to fight off the enemy's attacks.

God Chose Us

“You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you to bear fruit.”

We are not just appointment setters or virtual assistants. God placed us where clarity, organization, and trust are needed. Every message we send, every calendar we manage, and every task we complete with excellence is part of our assignment.

We may work behind the scenes, but God sees it all. Faithfulness in the small things produces fruit that matters.

We are chosen.

We are appointed.

And our work matters to God. 🤍

You Can't Impose on God

Today, I want to remind you of something I consider to be important to your well-being: You are no surprise to God. He knew what He was getting when He chose you, just as He knew what He was getting when He chose me.

The Bible says God actually picked us out for Himself as His own! You didn't just randomly show up one day. And God hasn't decided to merely tolerate you. You can't bother God because He picked you...you can't impose on Him! He's not rolling His eyes when you have a problem.

Instead, He'll always remind you how far you have come, how well you are doing, how precious you are in His sight, and how much He loves you. God already knew your weaknesses, every flaw you would have, every time you would fail, and He still said "I want you." Ephesians 1:5 declares He foreordained you to be adopted as His own. God is your daddy! With Him on your side, things are bound to work out all right in the end.

Prayer Starter: God, Your love amazes me. As my Father, You chose me before the world was ever created. No matter how flawed I may be, I know that You still want me. Thank You for Your goodness!

Why We Ask 'Why?'

Do you ever find yourself in a tragic situation and asked God, 'Why? Why is this happening to me?' For one moment, let's imagine that God actually answered that question. Would His explanation change anything? The effects of the tragedy would still be with you, and the pain would be just as severe as it was before. What would you have learned? When we ask God that question, I think the real questions we're asking are: 'God, do You love me? Will You take care of me in my sorrow and pain? You won't leave me alone, will You?' Is it possible that, because we're afraid God doesn't truly care about us, we ask for explanations? Instead, we must learn to say: 'Lord, I believe. I don't understand, and I'll probably never grasp all the reasons bad things happen, but I know for certain that You love me and are with me, always.' I believe it often takes more faith to go through something victoriously than to be delivered from it. Put your faith in God and you'll come out stronger on the other side.

Prayer Starter: God, I believe in You, even when circumstances try to fill my mind with doubt. Help me to remember Your love for me and to put my faith in You, no matter what happens.

God Can Raise the Lazaruses in Your Life

Remember when Jesus visited Mary and Martha after their brother Lazarus had been dead for four days? When He finally arrived, Martha said, "Master, if You had been here, my brother would not have died" (John 11:21 AMP). Martha was clearly in a state of despair. Then, "Jesus said to her, 'Your brother shall rise again.' Martha replied, 'I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day'" (vv. 23-24). I don't think she really understood what Jesus was saying. She was looking toward a future possibility, not a present reality. She didn't really expect things to change.

A lot of us are like Martha, stuck in our troubles, not realizing that God can turn things around. But Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, and He can raise the 'Lazaruses' in your life. Don't lose hope. You might be hurting now, but out of every disaster, God can bring a new beginning. Believe in God, and watch Him show His glory in your life.

Prayer Starter: Lord, I know that You will work every situation for Your glory. Instead of getting caught up in my problems, I believe that You can raise the 'Lazaruses' in my life.

Truth + Love = Real Connection 💬❤️

As an Appointment Setter and VA, I’ve learned this the hard way:
honesty builds better relationships than scripts ever will.

When you speak the truth with love—
not forcing, not manipulating, not overselling—
people feel it.

I don’t book calls just to book calls.

I connect. I listen. I qualify honestly.

Because the right clients come from clear communication, not pressure.

Telling the truth in love means:
✨ Respecting people’s time
✨ Setting real expectations
✨ Serving, not just selling

And that’s how trust turns into long-term partnerships.

Appreciate Honesty from Other People

Everyone loves compliments, but very few know how to handle constructive criticism. No one likes to be wrong, which makes it hard when people are uncomfortably honest with us. But we need to be thankful for honesty in other people. I once heard someone say, "Only two people will tell you the truth about yourself: someone who is angry with you and someone who loves you very much." God uses both types in our lives, but He especially uses the honesty of friends and loved ones.

When someone can, in love, honestly show you how you can improve, the results will be so much more valuable than empty, ego-stroking compliments. It's this kind of relationship that the Bible describes as 'iron sharpening iron.' I urge you to be thankful for people who tell you the truth about yourself, even if it's not what you want to hear. When you hear the truth, especially something you weren't aware of, you can change. Ultimately, their honesty will make you a better person.

Prayer Starter: Lord, thank You for placing truly honest people in my life. Their honesty may make me uncomfortable at times, but I know that when I listen to them, You can help me become a better person.
