Global IT Service Outage
A faulty update from a cybersecurity provider has caused a global IT Service outage, resulting in a blue screen of death on Windows operating systems with installed Crowdstrike security products.

As of 07/19/2024, 5:45 PM, the CEO of CrowdStrike provided a statement on X:, "CrowdStrike is actively working with customers impacted by a defect found in a single content update for Windows hosts. Mac and Linux hosts are not impacted. This is not a security incident or cyberattack. The issue has been identified, isolated and a fix has been deployed.".

A. Nature of Issue
- Crashes on Windows hosts related to the Falcon Sensor.

B. Actions to be Taken
CERT-PH recommends the following actions be taken:
● Kindly check the official update page for mitigation/solution or workaround.
● For further assistance, kindly reach out to the cybersecurity representative/support using the official channel.

Pagpalit ng SSD sa Laptop -Part 3 (using HDD Enclosure for old HDD)

Tips:
-Laging mag-backup ng importanteng files bago gumawa ng anumang pagbabago sa iyong drives.
-Siguraduhin na ang HDD enclosure ay compatible sa uri ng iyong HDD (IDE o SATA) at sa laki nito (2.5” o 3.5”).
-Palaging i-eject nang maayos ang external drive bago ito tanggalin mula sa computer para maiwasan ang data corruption.

Sana makatulong ang mga hakbang na ito para magamit muli ang iyong lumang HDD bilang isang external drive. Kung mayroon kang karagdagang katanungan, huwag mag-atubiling magtanong!

Pagpalit ng SSD sa Laptop - Part 2 (O.S. and Apps installation)

Tips:
-Para mapanatiling mabilis ang iyong SSD, iwasang punuin ito ng sobra-sobrang files. Maglaan ng hiwalay na drive para sa mga malaking files tulad ng videos, music, at iba pa.
-Regular na i-update ang iyong O.S. at apps, at magpatakbo ng mga tools tulad ng disk cleanup para mapanatiling malinis at mabilis ang iyong SSD.
