is the first Industry-based Automotive Technical
School in Mindanao. This was established on June 29, 2015 upon its accreditation with the
Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) – Region X. The Institute is an
affiliate of Greencars Mindanao Corporation, and serves as the Kia Training Center here in
Mindanao. Background of the School

as been engaged in the dealership of the KIA brand of
cars in Northern and Northeastern Mindanao since 2006. Its main office is located at the
National Highway, Gusa, Cagayan de Oro City, with branches in the Cities of Iligan, Ozamiz, and
Zamboanga. It primarily caters to Sales, Parts, and Service. In its years of service to these areas,
it has provided opportunities for growth and enhanced the potentials of the car market. Since Greencars is in the automotive business, part of the Company’s Corporate Social
Responsibility (CSR) is to provide a mechanism for apprenticeship (on-the-job trainings) at the
same time support the government’s educational thrust of developing technical skills in
secondary education. The Company will achieve this by establishing linkages among the leading
technical/vocational schools and institutions in the areas where it operates. Linkages
established include the following institutions: Xavier University-Center for Integrated
Technology (XU-CIT),Mindanao University of Science and Technology (MUST), MSU-Iligan
Institute of Technology, ICTI Polytechnic College, and the TESDA-accredited Technical Schools in
Cagayan de Oro, Iligan, Ozamiz and Zamboanga. Currently, the country’s educational system has expanded and established the K2-12
Program, envisioned to hone the technical skills of the students when they reach the Grade 11-
12 levels. By then, students shall be enrolled in technical/vocational courses and eventually
acquire a National Certificate (NC) upon being assessed by TESDA. With this development, the
company believes that it can help the government in this thrust, and cater to those very much
interested to acquire and develop their skills in the automotive sector , as well as, prepare the
Company for the ASEAN Integration by 2015. Purposes and Objectives
• To engage in Technical, Vocational, Maritime, and Health Care trainings and
developmental activities.
• To develop trainers and facilities relevant to the quality training of its student and the
needs of the future employment in the Philippines, and to foster international
opportunities.
• To become a leading proponent in the implementation of TESDA programs and
guidelines towards the development of quality Filipino workforce, able to adapt to its
skills and the needs of international community.
• To engage in other activities in which the company may enter into, which are not
contrary to law, good customs and morals, which are not otherwise prohibited by law.
