Performance Task: Designing a Mathematical House Plan

Students will design a simple house plan and apply mathematical concepts to a real-life construction context. They will:

1. Compute the estimated budget based on the given materials, quantities, and costs.
2. Calculate the area and volume of different parts of the house using appropriate formulas.
3. Determine and apply appropriate angle measures in the design and positioning of the house.
4. Explain the mathematical processes and reasoning used in their computations and design.
5. Present their completed house plan, computations, and proposed budget clearly and accurately.
