DEPARTMENT GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
1.To apply scientific and engineering methodologies to the analysis of problems and the design, implementation and evaluation of computer-based solutions;
2.To utilize their breadth and depth of theoretical computer concepts and mathematics to adapt to emerging technologies and the ever changing needs of the industry;
3.To exploit their awareness of persistent
concepts in the field of Information & Communication Technology to understand and be able to effectively address complex computational problems using appropriate models, techniques, tools and abstractions to meet industry standards;
4.To make effective use of oral and written communications in the usual interactions with clients, colleagues, management and subordinates;
5.To work efficiently and effectively in a team environment to develop support tools and systems to satisfy stated requirements;
6.To give appropriate consideration to the professional, ethical, legal, security, and societal impacts of computer technology as it pertains to their current position; and
7.To continue to enhance their technical skills and their development as computing professionals through life-long learning.
